Membership Levels |
Class A - 50.00 USDClass A Member: To qualify as a class A member the, applicant shall have, at time of application for membership, at least 3 years’ experience as a golf course superintendent and be employed in such capacity. As of July, 1997 to qualify as a class A member per our affiliation agreement with GCSAA the applicant must also be a member of GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendents Association of America). | Class B - 50.00 USDClass B Member: To qualify as a class B member the applicant shall be a golf course superintendent who has, at the time of application for membership, less than 3 years’ experience as a golf course superintendent and be employed in such capacity. As of July, 1997 to qualify as a class B member per our affiliation agreement with GCSAA the applicant must also be a member of GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendents Association of America). |
Class C - 50.00 USDClass C Member: To qualify as a class C member the applicant shall be an assistant to a golf course superintendent and shall be presently employed in such capacity. | Equipment Manager (Class EM) - 50.00 USDEquipment Manager: To qualify for Equipment Manager membership; an applicant shall, at the time of application, be employed as a golf course equipment manager, assistant golf course equipment manager or golf course mechanic/technician and shall have such rights of the Association as the Board of Directors may specify by Standing Rules, except those of voting and holding office. |
Facility Membership (FM) - 50.00 USDClass FM Member: A class FM member at the time of application for membership can be the superintendent, owner, or other representative selected by a golf facility. The membership will be in the name of the facility, and the applicant does not need to be a member of GCSAA. This membership is entitled to all benefits, except those of voting and holding office. | Affiliate - 100.00 USDAffiliate Member: To qualify as an Affiliate Membership, an applicant must be a business firm or governmental body interested in golf course management and/or in the growing or production of fine Turfgrass, either individually or through employment by or other affiliation with, a company, proprietorship, or association who does not qualify for membership in another class. |
Associate - 50.00 USDAssociate Member: To qualify as an Associate Membership, an applicant must be a maintenance staff member, club official, golf association member, or individual interested in golf course management and/or the growing or production of fine Turfgrass. | Retired - 20.00 USDRetired Member: Any class A, SM, C or Affiliate member reaching age 55, who is retired and no longer seeking employment within the scope of activities of any membership class of this association. |
Lifetime - FREE!Lifetime/Class AA Member: To qualify as a Lifetime/AA Member one must have retired as a golf course superintendent and have reached the age of 55 and been a voting member for 25 years or a former board member, or a charter member. | Educator - FREE!Educator: To qualify for Class E Membership, an applicant must be an educator or extension officer. Class E Members shall have such rights of the Association as the Board of Directors may specify by Standing Rules, except those of voting and holding office. |
Student - FREE!Student: To qualify for Student Membership, an applicant must be a turfgrass student enrolled in a formal course of education, or have completed his or her formal education less than one (1) year prior to the date of application for membership provided one’s current employment does not qualify for membership under any other classification. |
